After Your Welcome Dinner

The Welcome Dinner Project provides a platform for you to connect with new arrived and established people in your community. What happens after the dinner is up to you! You might meet someone who shares the same passion as you and find you have an activity you can do together. You might find that you have a skill or talent that you would like to teach or share with someone on an ongoing basis. Sometimes you may just enjoy bumping into new friends at the local shops! Once you have been to one dinner, we hope that individual dinners are organised independently and the spirit of the dinner lives on through new community connections and relationships.

At each dinner we encourage people to keep in contact and exchange details and provide a form to do this. We also send a follow up email which has a group photo and an opportunity to provide feedback. You are welcome to go to as many welcome dinners as you want. Though It is important to remember that in some areas there is a waiting list so you may not be invited to all dinners in your area.

We also would like to collect and share as many recipes from the dinners as possible and have provided a Recipe page where you can upload recipes and then share them with new friends!
